CAPTAIN REX

Clone soldier, leader, survivor, rebel. Great at blasting droids.

Rex spent his years in the war he was created to fight running alongside some especially headstrong Jedi. He became a trusted second in command, serving under General Anakin Skywalker and his padawan apprentice, Ahsoka Tano.

Tragically, the war was one great political manipulation by an evil Sith Lord who had secretly ordered the clone troops all be implanted with a behavior inhibitor chip during their creation. With the chips implanted, the execution of Order 66 at the end of the Clone War was a success, brainwashing and controlling the troops to turn against their Jedi Generals and execute them. The destruction of the Jedi Order made way for the Sith ruled Galactic Empire (as seen in the original Star Wars trilogy). Rex, however, narrowly escaped carrying out the order to its end, with Ahsoka surgically removing his chip to save him.

In the years of the Empire, Rex steps up as a leader in rebellion efforts, starting with the effort of his fellow clones to escape their increasingly obvious enslavement and abuse by the Empire, and later joining his old friend Ahsoka and the efforts of Phoenix Squadron in the Rebel Alliance. Later he would serve as a commander during the Battle of Endor at the end of the war.
